Watch ads/videos for money 2.0
Main Post:
Hey guys, I did a search of video ad apps for money and the most recent post was 3 years ago. I walk dogs and I can hold the leash in one hand and watch ads on my phone in the other. I'm too dumb to say play games or surveys during it.
Video ad apps I use:
Klover: 10 points per video
JustPlay: 2000 points per video, 2 min cool down
CashWalk: 3x per day, daily mystery box vids for coins
Sweatcoin: 3x per day, coin bonus for watching vid daily
Dabbl: points for ads
S'more: points for ads
Anyone have other suggestions? better or worse ones than these?
Thank you!

TIKTOK ads burning through Cash
Main Post:
I started running TikTok ads about 2 week ago and for the first week or so, I was seeing some really good results, A lot of traffic going to my website, a lot of interactions and a conversion of about 3%. At the time my CPM was about $3-5. After the first week, I started to notice my CPM is rising and my impressions are going down along with that, but I assumed it's because the algorithm is stabilizing with the current data that is has found and becoming more specific with who the ads are going to in order to be more effective, which it somewhat did actually, but suddenly, my CPM has risen to about $13 with 1/4 of impression that I was getting, and obviously with a 1/4 of results from before with the same budget. It is basically burning through the daily budget, while showing to my ads to a very select few, and it is absolutely burning through my revenue. If anyone has dealt with TikTok ads or had a similar issue, please let me know what I can do. I really want to continue running TikTok ads and not on other platforms, I ran some test campaigns on the other platforms, and they didn't nearly perform as well.
I'm kind of new to running ads so I've been trying to take in more information from wherever possible. Any tips are appreciated.

Have you or can you update the creative? TT users are EXTREMELY fickle and will tire of creative quickly. If you look at large brands you’ll rarely see the same ad after a week or two; unlike most other platforms the number of ads people will see in a browsing session will be high (you can see dozens of TT ads in the same time it would take to see a half dozen on YT), and with the average TT daily use higher than YT at the moment that leads to INCREDIBLY quick fatigue.
TT is still a young platform with not a lot of history, so there’s not a lot of data on how often to swap out creative.
TikTok Ads - spending cash, zero sales..
Main Post:
I run an ecom business in the UK in the sports accessories niche.
Like everyone else had a tough time with facebook ads last year, so thought I'd dip my toes into TikTok. I've created around 5 TikToks at this point which are on the profile, and connected my shopify so ppl can see the products etc. The product is validated.
I looked around at what other brands were doing and chopped together a 15 second ad shot & edited on my phone. i'm no expert, but it looked decent, showed of the product well and had a good call to action.
i setup a conversions campaign, pixel installed, targetted the relevant sports interests (with expansion on to keep it broader) - and set it off on £20/day.
It's been 3 days, the budget is spending, and nothing. the ad itself is getting a tonne of engagement, likes and positive comments, but absolutely zero sales. CPM is good around £3.30 and CTR is 0.5% (not great I know).
I feel I will try another creative with a different angle and and if that does nothing, I'll park TikTok Ads for now, just keep putting out TikToks hoping the organic algo will take me to the moon lol.
So what's your experience been? And any tips?

One client has 10 of 52 videos that have "gone viral" and we can use the run ads. You need to either go all in until you crack organic or you go the TikTok creator marketplace and find influencers to make ads for you. Spending a bit of money here or there and doing 3 days of ad spend will get you no where. TikTok is 180 of what Facebook use to do... the platforms are so different.

Google Ads in Europe is Just a Cash Grab by Teleperformance for New Clients
Main Post:
Sharing our frustrating experience with Google Ads in Europe, which felt like a complete cash grab aimed at new clients.
It started with the classic "cashback on spend" offer for new users. We had an initial call with someone from Teleperformance (Google’s external workforce), who instructed us to open an account and promised to create our "campaign strategy." We were very clear about our objectives and what we wanted to track.
Before disappearing and not replying to emails or phone calls for over 35 days, she had already opened our account, triggering the "Spend X, Get X by Date" time limit. This meant that by the time the new "account manager" took over, we were under pressure to rush the campaign and push the budget to meet the cashback conditions.
Then things got even messier.
The new account manager assured us the campaign was "on track" and that we’d see real results after the second month. Spoiler alert: we didn’t.
Turns out they weren’t even tracking the right conversions. Instead, they were monitoring random page views that had nothing to do with our actual goals. Only after we flagged this and guided them did they finally implement the correct conversion (a successful restaurant booking).
Then came the so-called "optimization" phase. The account manager went silent again for 2-3 weeks and returned with almost no changes. His reasoning? The campaign was performing "great" according to their guidelines because of the high CTR, even though each conversion was costing us nearly €80, which was completely unsustainable.
We never even received the report they promised after the 3-month campaign. And here’s the kicker: two weeks after the third month ended, the account manager claimed we were "banned" and that he had no access to our account. We verified with Google support, and of course, our account was perfectly fine and fully verified.
The whole process was a disaster. It’s obvious these outsourced account managers are only focused on burning through ad budgets without any real accountability. We’ve had a case open for over two months, but Google’s official support is overly technical (handled in India) and completely disconnected from the account side. When we pushed for help, they simply said, "We change account managers every quarter, so you’ll be assigned a new one soon," which felt like a lazy excuse to close the ticket.
Honestly, beyond disappointing. It’s not just about the wasted money but the complete lack of responsibility. Small businesses can’t afford to be treated like this.
Top Comment: Google Ads isn't a scam. There outsourced sales teams definitely are though.
[DEV] Made a low effort cash grab infested with ads and a traditional crappy mobile game ad to go with it. Waiting for Voodoo or SayGames to make a clone of it. Wish me luck.

Top Comment: a new kind of satire that still serves the exact same purpose as the thing you're satirizing. I don't know if you're genuinely scummy or just on some next level shit

Cash App keeps opening a browser page
Main Post:
This is quite frustrating. A new Chrome page on my phone will randomly open to cashapp/launch/cash-card, but the page is not working. I can't find any info on this anywhere. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling already to no avail. Please help!
EDIT: Well. One year later and people still see this post, so quick things: disable NFC on your phone, and keep your cash app card away from your phone.
EDIT2: A second solution if you want to keep your card with your phone, as discovered by others.
Go into settings and find "launch via NFC" in "Special app access" (you can find this by searching in the search bar in settings)
Disable chrome
Then tap the three dots in the top right and tap "show system". You're going to want to disable tags too.
